Morocco is one of the last countries on earth where storytelling is not a performance — it’s how truth has travelled for a thousand years. The circle of listeners in the square. The master and the apprentice. The pause before the turn.

Marrakech. Finding the story.
The pink city takes a day to stop being loud. A riad behind a nail-studded door, a courtyard with a fig tree in it, and the first dinner on a rooftop while the call to prayer moves across the city in waves. Then the square at dusk, where the storytellers have held their circles for nine hundred years, and where you stand at the edge of one and understand, without a word of the language, exactly what is happening.
Over these three days the craft begins. Masters of the hikayat tradition - men whose grandfathers held circles in that same square - teach you what they know about holding a room: the pause, the turn, the thing you leave unsaid. You are not performing yet. You are learning where your own story actually starts.
The Crossing.
The 4x4 convoy climbs the High Atlas - the road becomes a chapter of its own. A golden-hour walk through Aït Benhaddou, the ancient earthen citadel. Night in an oasis kasbah beneath the palms: the pause before the desert.
The Sahara. The Telling.
The last road runs out at Erg Chebbi, and the dunes begin. Two nights under canvas, the camp held for our circle alone, and a fire that is ours for as long as we want it. Camels at sunset for those who want them, a 4x4 for those who don't - nobody has to ride.
On the second night, the circle divides in two, ten around each fire, and one by one you tell the story you have never told. There is no audience and nothing to perform. Our filmmaker records yours, and it comes to you afterwards, privately, yours alone for life.
Later, musicians from the nearest village play until the fire goes low. In the morning, if you wake early enough, the sun comes over the dunes and nobody says anything at all.
Fez. The return.
The long northbound road out of the Sahara - deliberately slow, because after the fire, people need road and silence. Then Fez: the world's most intact medieval medina, a living library of craft and knowledge, walked with someone who grew up reading it. On the final evening, a farewell gala in a candlelit riad - the circle changed, and knowing it.

Or two more nights north: the blue-washed mountain town of Chefchaouen, where there is gloriously nothing to achieve.

She spent 18 years designing spaces - offices, homes, places where people live and work - before realising the spaces people needed most weren't physical. She holds a Master's in Expressive Movement Therapy and has studied with some of the world's leading minds in how the body holds what the mind can't say. She doesn't give you answers. She helps you remember your own.

The journey itself - Eight nights, twin-share: character riads in Marrakech and Fez, an oasis kasbah, and two nights at a two nights under canvas in the dunes, the camp held for our circle alone. Your private 4x4 convoy across the country, with professional drivers and room to rotate between vehicles - the road is part of the design.
The people - A dedicated English-speaking journey director handling every practical detail, so nothing is ever your problem. Local guides who grew up reading the places they'll walk you through. Sessions with master storytellers of Marrakech's living hikayat tradition. And Preeti, holding the circle from the first dinner to the last.
