True North
Edition I · The Founding Circle · November 2026
THE INVITATION
You are the one who holds everything.
The team. The household. The ageing parents. The plans. The people who call when something breaks. You are competent. Admired. Quietly running on empty.
You haven’t had an unscheduled hour in years.
This is six days where nothing is demanded of you.
Not a retreat. Not a program. Just a valley, a river, a fire, and the kind of silence that lets you hear yourself again.
THE PROMISE
Something unlocked.
That’s what you’ll feel on the drive home. Or maybe a week later, when someone asks what changed, and you won’t have words for it yet, but you’ll know.
THE PLACE
Tirthan Valley
31.6086° N, 77.4508° E November here is glass-clear air. Bare branches against sharp peaks. Woodsmoke rising at blue hour. The river loud enough to drown the noise. The valley at its own volume. No crowds. No traffic. No one asking anything of you.
The Arc
What Have You Set Aside To Hold Everything Else?
Arrive.
The drive from Kullu takes an hour. The road narrows. The air turns cold and clean. Chai on arrival. A walk to the river. The sound of water will stay with you all week. By evening, your phone has no signal. You notice. Then you don't. Opening circle by the fire. We begin.
Slow.
Morning practice by the river. Movement. Breath. Stillness. Not a class. Just you, coming back to your body. Afternoon: a walk to a nearby village. No guide. No history lesson. Just narrow paths between wooden houses, smoke rising from kitchens, children who wave. You walk without destination. The urge to check, to plan, to fill the hours - it arrives today. Let it pass. Evening: Bonfire. Wool blankets. Stories, or silence.
Say.
The inner work goes deeper. What have you set aside to hold everything else? What did you stop mentioning because no one took it seriously? Afternoon: Into the Great Himalayan National Park. A forest bathing walk through oak and deodar. No summit. No kilometers. You stop when the light falls a certain way. You sit when a clearing invites. The smell of pine and cold earth. Birdsong you've never heard. Evening: Journal. Early sleep. The fire kept burning.
Alone.
This is the day the journey is built around. Morning: The work goes further. Meeting the parts of yourself you've abandoned - the critic, the protector, the one who got buried under decades of holding it all together. Afternoon: Solo time by the river. No group. No facilitation. Just you and the water and the cold November air. Sit on a rock. Stay as long as you need. Evening: Sharing circle. No pressure to speak. The space is held.
Gather.
Morning: From silence to clarity. You'll write your own True North - not vague, not borrowed, yours. You'll name the one thing to pursue when you return. You'll learn a daily practice you can carry home. Then, a surprise. We drive to a place we won't name here. A riverside spot where a local family serves a traditional Himachali thali - steel plates on wooden tables, the river two feet away, food made the way it's been made for generations. You'll eat slowly. Steam rising. Hands wrapped around chai. After lunch, a short walk to a hidden waterfall. No crowds. You can sit on the rocks. You can lie down and listen. Some people cry. Some people just breathe. Evening: Closing ritual by the fire. Each person shares their True North. A flame. A promise. This is the day they'll remember.
Carry.
Early morning: A one-hour walk through the forest to Balo Temple - 800 years old, tucked into the trees. Prayer flags. Cold air. A moment of gratitude. Return for breakfast. Final circle. A commitment to yourself for the next 90 days. You leave slower than you arrived. That's the point.
What you'll leave with

Your True North, Written
In your own words, something to return to when the noise starts again.

One Thing for the Next 90 Days
Not a list of possibilities; one clear direction.

A Daily Practice
Ten to fifteen minutes, body-based, yours to use whenever the disconnection returns.

And the Intangible That Matters Most
Reconnection to the part of you that knows.
Preeti Is Your Sherpa
Not teacher. Not coach. Not guru. Someone who knows the terrain, holds the rope, and walks beside you. She spent 18 years designing spaces - offices, homes, places where people live and work - before realising the spaces people needed most weren't physical. She has trained in the expressive arts and studied with some of the world's leading minds in how the body holds what the mind can't say. She doesn't give you answers. She helps you remember your own.
