Soul Tales

True North

Tirthan Valley, Himachal Pradesh · One of the last unruined corners of the Himalayas.

Edition I · The Founding Circle · October 2026

The Tirthan River runs through the valley loud enough to drown out thought, quiet enough to hear yourself. The Great Himalayan National Park begins where the road ends. Ancient wooden temples sit in villages where time moves differently. No queues, no traffic, no famous spots – just river, forest, village, sky.

Six days here. One question: what happens when it finally goes quiet?

The Nine Days

The six days

what happens when you finally listen?

DAY 01

Arrive.

The road up the valley does the first unwinding. Riverside rooms, the first fire, and a circle of twenty that has been curated to travel well together. No agenda beyond dinner.

DAY 02

Slow Down.

A morning practice by the river - movement, breath, stillness; not a class, just a way of coming back to your body. A slow walk to a nearby village: apricot trees drying on rooftops, narrow paths between old wooden houses, children who wave. Evening: fire under the stars. The urge to check, to plan, to fill the silence - that's the only thing on the schedule, and the schedule is to let it pass.

DAY 03

The Forest.

Into the Great Himalayan National Park - a walking morning through oak and deodar, no summit to reach, no kilometres to count. You stop when the light falls a certain way. You walk until the walking becomes the point. Afternoon deliberately empty. Evening: journal time, early sleep.

DAY 04

The Quiet Deepens.

This is the day the journey is built around - and the quietest one. A solo morning by the river: no group, no phone, no task. Sit or walk, as long as you need. In the afternoon, the circle gathers - a conversation of the kind that doesn't happen at city speed, about what the noise has been covering. No one is required to speak. The space is held if you want it; the fire is warm if you don't.

DAY 05

The Valley's Gift.

A local family serves a traditional Himachali dham on wooden tables - siddu, madra, rajma, khatta - food that has made the journey from these fields to these tables for generations. Then a short walk to a spot the maps don't mark, where the river slows. In the evening, the closing ritual by the water: each explorer names their own true north - not vague, not borrowed, theirs - and one thing they'll pursue when they return. A fire. A promise.

DAY 06

Return.

An early walk to a centuries-old wooden temple in the forest - no crowds, just deodar and prayer flags and the occasional bell. Breakfast, the final circle, and the drive down. You leave slower than you arrived. That's the point.

What you'll leave with

Your True North, Written

In your own words, something to return to when the noise starts again.

One Thing for the Next 90 Days

Not a list of possibilities; one clear direction.

A Daily Practice

Ten to fifteen minutes, body-based, yours to use whenever the disconnection returns.

And the Intangible That Matters Most

Reconnection to the part of you that knows.

Preeti Is Your Sherpa

Not teacher. Not coach. Not guru. Someone who knows the terrain, holds the rope, and walks beside you. She spent 18 years designing spaces - offices, homes, places where people live and work - before realising the spaces people needed most weren't physical. She has trained in the expressive arts and studied with some of the world's leading minds in how the body holds what the mind can't say. She doesn't give you answers. She helps you remember your own.
